Data Protection Information – Care4Youth

As you may know, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been in effect since May 25, 2018.

The GDPR introduces a duty of transparency, which means providing individuals with detailed information on how their personal data is processed.

When you subscribe to the Care4Youth newsletter or register for project activities or events, you are asked to provide your email address (mandatory) and other optional information. We would like to inform you in advance about how this data will be used.

In compliance with the GDPR, we inform you that Consulta Europa Projects and Innovation, as the organization responsible for the communication and dissemination of the Care4Youth project, will process your data lawfully and fairly, only when necessary, by electronic and/or paper means, and with appropriate technical and organizational security measures. Your data will be processed solely for the purpose of sending you the newsletter, informing you about specific project-related activities (event invitations, workshops, etc.), and producing general statistics on the total number of users reached, the type of organizations involved, and their countries of origin.

Your data will be processed by authorized staff of Consulta Europa Projects and Innovation, by Care4Youth project partners, and by external providers (such as hosting services). Your data will not be used for commercial purposes or profiling.

You may exercise your rights at any time under the GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, or lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?

When subscribing to the newsletter, we collect the following data:

  • Email address (mandatory)

 

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF USING MY DATA?

Your data will be used solely to send you the Care4Youth newsletter and to inform you about project-related activities. It will not be used for any other purpose without your prior consent.

In relation to events, your data may also be used to compile aggregated statistics on participation. Additionally, with your consent, video and/or audio recordings may be made, and the project may lawfully use your image, voice, or both for communication purposes (website, social media, promotional material, etc.).

 

WHAT IS THE LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING?

The legal basis for processing your personal data is your explicit consent, in accordance with Article 6.1.a) of the GDPR.

 

WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO MY DATA?

In addition to Consulta Europa, some third parties may access your data when necessary to manage the newsletter or project activities, always in accordance with current regulations:

  • Competent authorities for project monitoring
  • Project partners, only when directly involved in the relevant activity

 

WILL MY DATA BE TRANSFERRED OUTSIDE THE EU?

No. Your data will not be transferred to third countries or international organizations.

 

HOW LONG WILL MY DATA BE KEPT?

Your data will be stored for as long as your subscription remains active. If you do not unsubscribe, it will be deleted no later than six months after the project’s end (currently set for 31 August, 2025).

 

WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS?

You may exercise your rights as outlined in Chapter III of the GDPR, including:

  • Right to access your data
  • Right to rectify or erase your data
  • Right to restrict processing
  • Right to object to processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

IS IT MANDATORY TO PROVIDE MY DATA?

Yes. In order to register for events, it is necessary to provide the required data. Without it, we will not be able to send you project-related information.

 

WILL AUTOMATED DECISIONS BE MADE?

No. No automated decision-making will occur using your personal data.
